TWIN BOROS SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION

Twin Boros scholarships and grants are available to any current resident of Bound Brook or South Bound Brook who will be graduating high school in the 2002-2003 academic year. (To be considered a resident, the applicant must live within the geographical boundaries of the borough(s) with property taxes on the residence being paid to either Bound Brook or South Bound Brook.)

The following application is to be used for either of the following scholarships:

Twin Boros Scholarship —Four years at $1,500 per year (two may be awarded).

Twin Boros Continuing Education Grant— For a junior college or technical/ vocational school.

This application will also be used for the selection of the René Biastre Award, a one time award of $500 given to a student entering the field of mathematics or music (or a related field, i.e. computer science)as well as the Peter Boettcher Award, a one time award of $1,000 given to a graduate of Bound Brook High School.

Twin Boros Scholarship—4-Year

The Selection Committee will choose up to two people who will be awarded four-year scholarships with a maximum of $6,000. These will be funded each year for four years at $1,500 per year. If awarded, it will be the obligation of the recipient to demonstrate satisfactory progress toward graduation at the end of each semester. Upon receipt of said evidence, a payment for the following semester will be made directly to the college. (Two payments per year will be made). Applicants for the four-year scholarship should complete the attached application and return it to their guidance office no later than Friday, May 2nd, 2003.

Twin Boros Continuing Education Grant

The Selection Committee will award up to $1,500 in scholarship monies at their discretion, for the cost of tuition and fees at an accredited school. This grant can be awarded for a two-year program and paid directly to the school, or for a one-time payment to a technical or vocational school that has a single tuition program. Applicants for the Continuing Education Grant should complete the attached application and return it to their guidance office no later than Friday, May 2nd, 2003. Applications and supporting information need to be completed and submitted by the due date to be considered. After review by the Selection Committee, applicants may be called for a personal interview.
