BASEBALL TOMORROW FUND GRANT SUPPORTS GROWTH

 

Grant Will Benefit Bound Brook (NJ) Recreation Commission Softball and Baseball Programs

 

In support of the ongoing commitment from Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association to increase youth participation of baseball throughout the world, the Baseball Tomorrow Fund awarded a grant of $86,245 to the Bound Brook Recreation Commission in Bound Brook, New Jersey.  The Baseball Tomorrow Fund grant will provide field lighting for local Bound Brook Recreation Commission softball and baseball fields.

 

Heather Yarashas , a Bound Brook native and current Major League Baseball executive, will present a ceremonial check from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund to representatives from the Bound Brook Recreation Commission on Saturday, April 29 immediately following the Bound Brook High School Softball Game, which starts at 11:00 a.m. (EDT) at Tea Street Fields in Bound Brook, NJ.  At the conclusion of the ceremonies there will be a Pepsi Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit & Run ä clinic. The Bound Brook Recreation Commission fields will serve 200 children, which includes the local girl’s softball program, the Little League program and the high school varsity and junior varsity teams.  The Bound Brook Recreation Commission provides youth sports and recreation including baseball, softball basketball, soccer and wrestling.  The organization provides facilities for the local Little League and school district.  www.boundbrook.com
