COME ONE, COME ALL, TO THE ANNUAL
CASINO BALL
Four years ago, realizing that Bound Brook could use an event to raise money for community projects, the Bound Brook-Middlesex Rotary Club and the Bound Brook Area Chamber of Commerce teamed up to create the annual casino ball. Both groups donate the profits from this fundraiser to community projects and charities.
Imagine it! From
7-11 p.m.
, you will dance in one of the oldest and largest ballrooms in the area to the music of a live orchestra/band. You will gamble in the “casino” and perhaps fancy yourself a high roller in
Atlantic City
or
Las Vegas
.
With your winnings, you will bid for prizes in the auction, featuring specialty baskets containing themed gifts, certificates and other items. You might even return home the happy winner of half the proceeds of the night’s 50/50 drawing.
Our honoree will be Bound Brook resident Richard Shive, who, throughout the years, has donated his time unselfishly to several area organizations and committees in Bound Brook and
Somerset
County
.
Hors d’oeuvres and canapés are included and there will be a cash bar available.
A highlight of the evening will be the dance music provided by the Anthony St. James Orchestra, a seven-piece group, featuring gold record winner Joe Caroselli.
Two psychics will be available for readings and a photographer will snap portrait shots at a nominal charge.
The food will be catered by Chef/Instructor John Vingara and students of the Somerset County Vo-Tech Culinary Arts Institute.
Tickets are available at $45 per person advance sale and $50 at the door.
