The Bound Brook Memorial Library is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with the following programs:
1. Saturday, September 15 at 1:00 p.m. - Meet Hoboken author Arturo O. Martinez as he reads excerpts from his book, Pedrito's World, based on his childhood in South Texas, and gives insights into the writing process.
2. Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., September 19 & 26 and October 3, 10 & 17 - Movies on the Big Screen
3. Saturday, October 6 at 12:00 p.m. - Come and listen to Jesse Rivera take us on a musical journey around the world.
4. Saturday, October 13 at 1:00 p.m. - Presented by Jose Obando “Dancing: Intrinsic Element of Salsa": The percussion in salsa addresses the biorhythm, prompting dancing. The social contact dancing that is performed to salsa is composed of English country dancing and certain African movements. Musical compositions and performances contain a direct address to this intrinsic element.
